Visual Identity, Catalogue & Social Media Design | Lockdown Art Residency (2020)
Project Overview
To create the visual identity and catalogue design for a collective art residency reflecting on artists’ experiences during the Covid-19 lockdown.
My role
I developed the concept, logo and collateral design for the residency, including adaptations for social media.
- Designed a logo using a bold sans serif font, incorporating a stylised padlock as the letter ‘O’ to symbolise living in enclosed spaces during lockdown.
- Extended the concept into a catalogue design, maintaining visual coherence through the colour palette, typography, and spatial layout.
- Created logo variations for different platforms, optimising for social media.
- Applied colour symbolism (red and yellow for danger and alert) to reinforce the residency’s reflective theme.
Software used: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
