Visual Identity Design for Tech | Firmamentum Consulting

Project Overview

The goal of this project was to design the visual identity for Firmamentum Consulting, aligning with the founders' vision and core values. They sought to convey multiple themes: the vastness of the firmament (sky), their five foundational pillars: People, Development, Security, Operations, and Artificial Intelligence, and a strong sense of support and growth.

The founders chose a nebula photograph as the central brand visual, symbolizing the birth of stars: a metaphor for the firm’s role in fostering innovation and transformation. This imagery aligns with the literal meaning of Firmamentum: that which strengthens or supports.

Visual Identity Development

For this project, I conducted extensive research on astronomical imagery, exploring various cosmic phenomena and identifying conceptual links to Firmamentum’s value proposition. This process involved understanding how celestial elements, such as nebulae, stars, and cosmic structures, could visually and symbolically represent the company’s five foundational pillars: People, Development, Security, Operations, and Artificial Intelligence.

Through multiple logo iterations, I developed a design that integrated these celestial themes into the typography. The final concept presents the company name in a bold, sans-serif font, with specific letterforms transformed into stars. Each star serves as a visual metaphor for one of Firmamentum’s core values, reinforcing the brand’s mission of guiding, strengthening, and supporting growth.
